 Housing Programs
The Housing Authority provides decent and safe rental housing for families and individuals. We offer a variety of housing opportunities. Use the links below:

NOTICE:Effective May 1, 2013 we are no longer taking applications for one bedroom applicants under the age of 62 to our Public Housing and Moderate Rehab Programs.

 

Income Limited Public Housing

The Public Housing Program provides low-rent units for low income families and individuals. It consists of 901 units.

 

Senior Housing 

Mineral Palace Tower is a high rise complex for senior or disabled individuals and couples, under the Section 8 New Construction Program (132 Units).

 

Farm Labor Program

Off-farm housing for farm laborers  consisting of 18 Units.

 

Housing Choice Rental Assistance Vouchers

This program allows low-income families to  lease privately-owned rental housing.

 

Moderate Rehabilitation

These units are owned and operated by private landlords who accept only referrals from the Housing Authority.

 

Project Based Assistance

Central Apartments is part of the Project-Based Assistance Program. It is a component of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program that provides long term project-based affordable housing for very low and extremely low households. Its subsidy is tied specifically the unit for the term of a Housing Assistance Payments contract (18 Units).
